Norbreak quick-break emulsion degreaser is a high performance, specialised cleaner degreaser which is designed for the really tough jobs - heavy grease, oil, carbon - frequently encountered in machinery workshops, engineering workshops, garages, the mining industry, etc.
This solvent is completely safe on reactive metals such as aluminium, magnesium alloys, etc. It is a neutral solvent emulsion, miscible with water before breaking and has a low order of toxicity.
Norbreak has been formulated to function as a quick-breaker product, so that oil and grease can rapidly separate from rinse waters after cleaning. This ensures efficient operation of separating equipment such as coalescing plate separators, so that oil-free water is released. Traditional detergents tend to keep oil suspended in solution for long periods of time, thus allowing it to escape mechanical separators, and to be released with wastewater.
Legislation has been introduced in all states to prevent oil-contaminated wastewater being released untreated into sewers. According to the Model Trade Waste Policy prepared by the Department of Primary Industries, quick-break detergents must break cleanly into oil-water layers in less than one hour. Norbreak has been thoroughly tested and has proven to separate into clear layers within minutes.
